This Newsweek fiasco is unbelievable, and ultimately caused the deaths, but does anyone see fit to mention that the proximate cause was a bunch of muslims who fucking freaked out on themselves? And that they regularly freak out? Remember the Miss World event in Nigeria where 100 people died after rioting? Why does everyone have to walk on eggshells where the Islamic community is concerned?

BTW, the Quoran is sort of a big book. Hard to flush, I would think. But really, you're telling me we're all coffee and doughnuts when we're interrogating enemy combatants in our Geneva-convention-free zone at Guantanamo? Please. Of course someone has taken a dookie on the good book to get a reaction. This is all so disingenuous.

So on NPR today they were interviewing US soliders in Iraq on the issue of identifying insurgents, roadside bombs, et al. One indicated his core tactic is "looking for something out of place" from the day before--this is how the most fearsome and advanced fighting unit in history connoiters for threats? I am under-fucking-whelmed.
